What We Believe

Jesus Is Lord!

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ – the Son is the Word, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning. Jesus is Creator, Jehovah, the Beginning and End, the Almighty! (John 1:1-18)

Jesus and His Word

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of the holy men of God who spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The Word is our infallible guide to matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (II Tim. 3:36; I Thess. 2:13; II Pet, 1:21)

Jesus the Savior

All men have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus died and rose again for the sins of all people. Salvation is the gift of God, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Rom. 3:23; John 14:6; Eph. 2:8)

Jesus the Healer

We believe Jesus will heal any sickness, disease, disability, or physical impairment. Any miracle needed is available through faith and prayer. Healing is provided in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every believer today. (Isa. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:17; I Pet. 2:24)

The New Birth

Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is the recreation of one’s human spirit into the likeness of God’s spirit and is necessary for all men. When the New Birth is experienced, it produces eternal life and transforms one from the kingdom of this world to the Kingdom of God.

(II Cor. 7:10; I John 5:12; John 3:3-5)

Jesus the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost

This is a gift from God as promised by Jesus to all believers in the dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance.

(Matt. 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4, 38-39; 19:1-7)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity that proceeds forth from the Father and the Son – and who is eternal. He has a separate identity from the Father and the Son, within the Trinity, and has coexisted with the Father and the Son. He abides in every born-again believer and will teach, lead, and empower one in holiness and ministry. (John 15:26)

Jesus and His Church

Jesus’s Church consists of people who have been “called out of” sin and the world and who have assembled themselves together as His family and body. Jesus is the head of the Church and each believer is a member, or organ, of His body. Our purpose is three-directional: outward in evangelism, inward in spiritual growth, and upward in worship. (Rom. 16:5; I Cor. 1:2; Gal. 1:2; Eph. 5:25-27)

Jesus the Returning King

Jesus Christ shall return again. His return is imminent. First, He is coming for the saints (“…the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…”).

Second, He shall return on the earth, following the tribulation, as King of kings and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years. (I Thess. 4:6-17; Rev. 20:6)
